Power. Some people in life use this privilege responsibly, and then there are others that get corrupted by it. This is the choice Yagami Light is faced with, when one fateful day, he stumbles across a black note book entitled “Death Note”.
The very first interesting element about Death Note is the main lead, Yagami Light. Yagami Light is a normal kid that has no special powers at all, but the thing that seperates him from the other typical high school male leads, is his IQ.
Yagami Light is a genius, and combine that with his attitude that the world is going to ruins, and a death note book with godly powers, the result is always going to be trouble, with a capital T.
Based on this episode, I dare say it is a classic in the making. Death Note strikes all the right cords with the viewer, as everything from the animation, to the music and direction, are well integrated together, that one finds it hard not craving more.
